Do you have a Favorite Vehicle Make… or is that a Personality Trait?

I don’t know much about vehicles.
But I do have opinions.

I’ve noticed a lot of people stick to one specific vehicle make like it’s part of who they are. They don’t just drive a car—they identify with it.

Personally, I like Toyota. Why? Because from what I’ve seen, they last.
Yes, I know—“if you take care of your car, it should last.”
But let’s be honest… that’s not always how it plays out.

I know plenty of people who take really good care of their vehicles and still hit that point where it’s like:
“Welp… guess it’s time to start looking again.”

Take Ford for example. So many people I know drive Ford trucks or SUVs. And like clockwork, around 100,000 miles… transmission issues start creeping in. Suddenly, it’s not about maintenance anymore—it’s about timing your exit.

Then there’s Nissan—I’ve heard the same kind of transmission concerns.
Buick—engine issues a little earlier than you’d expect.
Subaru—again with the transmission.
Chevrolet—honestly, not bad overall, but those small turbo engines can be questionable.

And before anyone comes for me—I’m not talking about luxury vehicles. That’s a whole different world, and not one I’m trying to live in right now. I’m talking about what most of us are actually driving.

So yeah, I lean toward Toyota. They seem to hold up past 100,000 miles with fewer headaches. The designs are solid, the tech is current—it just makes sense to me.

But here’s where it gets interesting…

I kind of think your vehicle says something about you.

Toyota drivers?
Loyal. Practical. Low-key. Not trying to prove anything.

Ford drivers?
Outgoing—but serious when it matters. Probably has strong opinions.

Chevy drivers?
A little rugged. Social, but not too social.

Subaru drivers?
…confident. Very confident. (Maybe a little too confident.)

Nissan drivers?
A bit adventurous—but still playing it safe.

Is any of this scientifically accurate? Absolutely not.
Do I still stand by it? Also yes.

So now I’m curious—
Do you have a favorite vehicle make?
And do you think it says something about your personality… or am I completely off?
